What is a retirement plan?
A long-term savings product designed to create capital to supplement retirement or incapacity pensions, or to cover another beneficiary in the event of death.
How is the benefit received?
Once the event giving rise to the payment of benefit occurs, it is necessary to inform Caja Navarra, provide documentation proving the event and choose the most convenient form of payment. There are three forms of payment:
capital
: a single, lump-sum payment, which can be made instantly on application or deferred to a later date.
income
: in regular, successive payments. There are different types of income, the most frequent being the financial options where the beneficiary decides the amount, frequency of payment and growth. The capital pending can be cashed in at any time and, in the event of death, the part of the plan not received can be transferred.
capital and income
: this is a mixture of the previous two. Part is paid in the form of capital and part as one of different types of income.
How do retirement plans invest?
They invest the contributions they receive in accordance with criteria based on security, performance and diversity. Caja Navarra offers you advice and provides a wide range of retirement plans and investment options.
How much do I have to contribute each year?
You decide how much you contribute, but you must not exceed the yearly maximums permitted by law. The yearly maximum is the same for all the plans you belong to. The maximum yearly contribution depends on your age and earned incom.
Do not wait until the end of the year to make contributions. It is better to make regular contributions and, if you like, top these up with extraordinary contributions.
Who is the contributors’ advocate?
Caja Navarra has created the figure of the contributors’ advocate. The advocate’s job is to deal with and settle claims.
Our retirement plan clients are defended by Analistas Financieros Internacionales, a prestigious, independent, economic and financial organisation.
