Plans for the disabled

Caja Navarra has adapted all the retirement plans that it offers so that the same investment alternatives available to other customers are also open to people with disabilities. This means that people with disabilities and their families can choose the investment option best suited to their personal situation and modify it over time according to their circumstances and changes in financial markets.

These retirement plans provide greater coverage because they are adapted to the specific features of this group of people, given that they are designed to improve the quality of life of people with physical or sensorial (65% or more) disabilities, mental disabilities (33% or more) or those legally declared incapable, who can receive contributions made by third parties in their name.

More specifically, contributions can be made by the person with a disability himself/herself and anybody with a relationship of kinship or guardianship.

The contribution limit on plans for people with disabilities is € 24,250 from the person with the disability and € 10.000 from each family member (€ 8.000 in Pais Vasque), so long as the total of the contributions made by different contributors does not exceed the sum of € 24,250 a year, benefiting in all cases from tax deductions.

The holders’ money is also at their disposal when they need it because this retirement plan is retrievable in the following cases:

  • retirement of the holder of the plan, or after the age of 45 if he/she cannot retire
  • incapacity or worsening of the disability
  • death of the holder
  • retirement or death of the holder’s spouse, of one of the family members he/she depends on or of the person to whom he/she is guardian or foster carer

Ordered from lesser to greater risk, the investment alternatives for contributions from people with disabilities and their relatives are:

  • Retirement Plan, Can Pensiones Renta Fija: invests in short- and mid-term fixed-income securities.
