CAN creates the Civican Social Community with 200 social organisations
CAN has started intensive work with social organisations from Navarra, using Civican as the HQ for joint work between the bank, NGOs, associations and institutions. In this initial stage, 200 social organisations form part of the Civican Social Community and are indicating the main obstacles they face through surveys. Their replies have been reflected in a host of initiatives to augment their economic resources and facilitate management.
Belonging to the Civican Social Community involves each social organisation being provided with a Civic Banking Network officer, who manages the projects they present to CANs customers and encourages renewal and the search for new options, allowing organisations to enhance their fundraising efforts. They will also have access to financial services specific to their members.
The Civican Social Community means that they have preferential use of the Civican premises for conferences, meetings, exhibitions, etc. for which they will also receive help mobilising the public and in the field of communications. Civican will run activities adapted to the environments of the social organisations and will offer them special prices on the courses regularly given at the centre.
They will have access to training in order to professionalise their management processes (accounting, human resources, communications, quality) and for their voluntary workers. Civican is also set to run courses on the request of the social organisations involved.
The work of the Civican Social Community is based on the Viálogos methodology, a system that CAN uses with companies and which consists of asking them about their main problems and obstacles, and then developing ways of solving them. At present, the Civican Social Community focuses on organisations which represent 12,000 people.
The pooling of the organisations replies and CANs proposals is taking place at a set of working breakfasts that got under way today and which the 200 organisations belonging to the community at this initial stage will all attend. These encounters, which will be attended by speakers of interest to those coming, will also seek out synergies between the organisations.
Any social organisation which has presented a social project to CAN and wishes to participate in its initiatives can form part of the Civican Social Community.
