EatsAndTwitts, real-life networking through Twitter
Twitterers use tweets, with their maximum of 140 characters, as a means of sharing messages, ideas, news, photos and videos quickly from their computers, mobile phones or any other device with Internet
A photo (not always) and a short profile are all the details you get about someone on the network… but the last twelve months have seen the birth of a movement, EatsAndTwitts, para conocerse personalmente ('desvirtualizarse'), to get to know people in real life, make friends, form new groups with common interests, exchange calling cards, make contacts… To put it in just two words, social networking. No-invite-required informal EatsAndTwitts meet-ups have already been held in Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Seville, Bilbao, Pamplona, Palma de Mallorca... And have proved a great success! The last one held in Madrid on the 24th to mark the first anniversary was attended by 250 twitterers. Here’s a video of the Madrid EatsAndTwitts.
