Breaking ground with our Cancha branch offices

We are using a pioneering image to reflect a philosophy unique in the financial market: civic banking, la giving rights to customers offering space to the entire population.

At our Cancha branch offices, conventional desks are replaced in favour of round tables to get rid of the superiority inherent in financial management; newspapers, books, coffee and computers with Internet are offered so that everyone feels at ease and can use the branch beyond their financial requirements; there are children's corners with books and games to keep the kids amused and make sure they enjoy themselves; cultural and recreational activities open to the general public are laid on; and the premises are offered to local residents, associations and the public in general for use as areas at the disposal of people’s needs.

Customer rights become a reality in the Cancha branches. In the social innovation corner, each customer can find out how much Caja Navarra makes from his/her money –Civic Account–; decide which social projects to fund with the profit made from his/her money in Caja Navarra –You choose: you decide–; learn about project progress –Accountability–; and say whether they wish to participate in our social projects as volunteers –Volcan-.

The Cancha offices are open to the general public, customers and non-customers alike. Each week, they hold leisure and cultural activities such as concerts, exhibitions, storytelling sessions, workshops, talks, etc. The Canchas also participate in the “book release movement” Bookcrossing.

One year on from the opening of Caja Navarra’s first Cancha branch office, the English consultants I-Am Associates acknowledged our Canchas as the fourth most innovative bank branch model in Europe as part of a study commissioned by EFMA (The European Financial Management & Marketing Association).
